Special Event Notice

March 24 will be a special Sunday for Spirit of Truth.

We will meet at St Matthew's, 701 N. Lexington Pkwy., St. Paul, at 11:30 for our regular worship followed by a joint potluck with the St. Matthew's community. Bring a dish to share if you are able.

At 12:30, during the potluck, we will have a blessing/sending for Grant and Chris Stevensen as they leave on sabbatical for three months.  It would be great to have the broader Spirit of Truth community there to say goodbye.
Spirit of Truth will continue to meet regularly, including Easter, at St. Paul Reformation at 11:30 am on Sundays. During the three months Grant is gone we will continue meeting with leaders from the community planning each week. 

St. Paul Reformation Lutheran Church is at 100 N. Oxford St. (& Laurel), St. Paul. Go in the small west door up to Tiedman Hall where we meet.

Pastor Grant Stevenson introduces a faith conversation about marriage -- "traditional" and otherwise.

Spirit of Truth is a new and growing community that practices the religion of love, justice and liberation.
Our faith has all too often been co-opted by fear, doctrine and exclusion -- we are working to take it back.
We are a community of organizers and social activists, of many religious and non-religious backgrounds.
We practice our faith it in weekly song-and-prayer gatherings.
We practice it in strategic campaigns.
And we practice it on the streets, taking action for the things we believe in.
Labor rights. Economic justice. Marriage equality.

October 2011:  Spirit of Truth retells the Loaves and Fishes story in a pageant play
outside the offices of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, urging her to turn to
the faith of love and justice and support legislation for job growth.
 
 
 
 May 2011:  Spirit of Truth, in alliance with the Centro de Trabajadores Unidas
en Lucha (CTUL), delivers $105,000 in grocery receipts to Cub Foods headquarters,
demonstrating our purchasing power and demanding better working conditions
for Cub Foods janatorial staff.
